Damn people, all of the sudden my AOL e-mail accounts, both JerseyVics and SVTregistry started getting bombarded by some weird e-mails.

I'm curious if anyone else is getting this crap and how you dealt with it....


About the problem:

All of these e-mails have exactly the same subject lines which range from: RE: Approved; RE: Your Application; to RE: Thank You!; RE: Wicked screensaver and RE: My Details.... something that you'd want to answer because RE usualy implies you send them the original, but some of these senders I've never ever heard or seen their e-mail address before in my live.... what worries me is that some of those e-mails are from @ford.com so I can only imagine whats going on in their heads if they get something from SVTregistry@aol.com which is my e-mail but obviously mail I didn't write. One e-mail I got tricked into opening because it was from a friend, except the message inside wasn't right... it said: "For details see the attached" there was no attachment to the e-mail so I suspect some code was embedded into that e-mail, but damn, the random e-mails I'm getting from people I've never even written to before so they wouldn't have me on their buddy lists.


Its really pissing me off because since Tuesday I've gotten (and this is not a lie) about 300 messages!!! And they just keep on coming. They slowed down a little bit because (I think) I reported them to AOL as spam, but as I'm typing this I've got 3 e-mails at once with the same crap.



How do I get rid of it?

PS. If you get any mail from me don't open it! I didn't write it. I haven't used my e-mail much since I started getting attacked by it.

 

It has been going around for a week or so now. It is the SoBigF virus/worm. Dont worry about it. There is nothing you can do but wait it out till it stops on Sept 10th. Everyone has been getting them. Just dont open any.

you cant get rid of it, unless you set up some filters to delete the emails thats all you can do

 

i got the same ones with the same titles dont open em just delete them.

 

I just got the same thing last week and I was out of the office all day thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday so when I got in monday morning I had well over 10,000 emails that day!!!!!!!!

outlook basically took a wicked crap on me and I had allot of problems so just downlowed all the patches with norton and it will be ok eventually.
