L hesitates when starting.....sometimes
My 02 L sometimes hesitates when I start it. I've noticed it does this when the truck is warm, and I've been making stops and getting back in and cranking it back up again. It doesn't do this all the time, just every so often. What could be the cause of this?? Anyone else noticed this?? Warranty issue??
Mine too -not like it wont start or anything but more like I'm letting off the key to soon. You get so used to it firing right up that when it doesn't I still let off without knowing. Then it seems to chug just for a second and either fire or you gotta turn the key again.
Mine also does this sometimes. I have heard that it is due to the fact that if the supercharger stops in a certain position, it is harder for the engine to crank it and therefore it hesitates. Just a theory though...
HAHA, my 2000 does the same thing. I think its beacuse of the supercharger and it just gives the starter something more to turn, thats what i think it is but i honestly dont know.

I think your problem is the (cam sensor) I believe it is a little sensor on the drivers side cyl head (1/4 plug) it gets oil splashed up on it and computer does not see correct cam timing and does not fire motor or something along those lines. This happends only when truck is warm and frequent start / stop not an overnight or prolonged stop. I never cleaned mine but they say you can I just don't shut it off if I know I gonna start right back up
Hope this helps
For the exact name ask SAL he is the one who told me about this when I asked a while back

Ditto,
Dirty IAC. Clean it with alcohol and water.
Here is a how-to: http://www.fastndelirious.com/forums...s=&threadid=90
I used carb cleaner but someone did post recently that's not a good idea. Alcohol should do the job.
For me it fixed my problem immediately.
It worked for me hopefully it will for you.
