Talking 2nd Time to track a charm

I went last Wed. night for the first time and could only get a 13.91 at 99.18mph. I asked the board for some help and tips and got little response but the guy upstairs must have been listening because the weather today was awesome. Mid to high 70's and almost no humidity. Last night I took off my spare tire and hitch. Today my time slip looked like this.....
60' 1.969
330 5.597
1/8 8.572
MPH 82.18
1000 11.172
1/4 13.372
MPH 102.45
Needless to say I was happy. My best 60' time the other day was a 2.052. This has been a great board for me and I only hope to learn more and go faster.

I went to the track yesterday, this is what i ran, i was upset i didnt hit 13's, but i know on my last run if i had a better r/t i would have gotten in the 13's. Don't wanna ruin your day, but R/T's have Nothing to do with ET's.

BUT, get those 60's down in the 1.9's and you'll have 13's!

Hamrhead is correct. Reaction time begins the secod the light turns green and ends the second your front tire rolls out of the staging beam! You're Elapsed Time (ET) doesn't begin UNTIL your front tire rolls out of the staging beam. For example, you could sit at the starting line for two hours after the light turns green and still run your 13 sec. ET down the track!
Hope this explanation makes sense to ya! Better luck next time!
Wait for better air conditions. It is nothing for an L to pick up half a second in ET b/w a 95* day and a 70* day, especially if the humidity is low!

Best of luck to ya bro! ....especially with the wife part. It's hard to justify (to her) the $$$$ we are so willing to pump into these trucks. Have fun
