So I come up to a light... traffic in front and back. This blue mustang pops up besides me! GT 4.6. He has his windows down, me being me and having my girlfriend complaining about heat, had the air on. He kind of motions to roll down the window..

I hear a winding noise.. not mine?! I asked him if he had anything done, and he replies he has a super charger. Light turns green, we both just go on with our business. Next light, just me and him in the front. I talk to him again, asked how much boost, and times if he ever ran. He ran one time, and it was roughly a 13.2 and lots of traction problems. He had low profile tires, prob not no where as good as ours! He was running ~14lbs of boost. Stock 4.6 block. Crazy. He blew a head gasket that day he went to the track too. I wonder why

Light turns yellow, i roll up my window, not thinking, and he starts getting ready to launch! Hehe, so he launches, squeels, takes off. I gas it a bit, slide a bit, and then let off. Get back on it and he just kind of pulls away from the jump. Very bad heat and humidity though. Would of been pretty close between me and him If I was actually to race and warm em up a bit to get a good launch! Nice car though. NICE noisees from it *grin*

Does a stock 4.6 with 14lbs of a boost, run a 13.2 sound about right? Think I could of taken him if I actually turned off my air, got rid of my 100lb girlfriend, and warmed em up? *grin*... G/f was just saying how nice his car sounds ... "Oh! He has a whinning noise too!"... Mine was louder at WOT though *smile*

I just turn them over for about 3 seconds to clean them.

 

14 lbs. of boost, on a "decent" tune, with the right suspension, should net him low 12's EASY, with my Grandma driving, and she's dead!!!!!!! Then again, with anything higher than 12 lbs., it's a miracle he hasn't grenaded the whole block.

He could of very easily said he had 14lbs... and no motor work. But people can say what they want Could of been full of it. But I do know he had nice sounds coming from the engine bay! I should of actually went at it! Seen if I could put him in his place *grin*... if he was running 14lbs, then prob not.

I will take that 3 sec warmup in consideration next time.

Also didn't want to really run cause my exhaust is sh... the place that put it on didnt' welt, they used those bracket clip peices. I spec. said weld the f'n thing. So very upset. And now both collectors are leaking, and its leaking from the main two pipes into the muffler. Their is two clamps, both dripping water in the early morning from condenstation settling in the pipes. Not happy about this. I'm taking it today to another muffler shop to see if they can fix it all and WELD. W-E-L-D.
