First Time at Track tonight....
First Time at Track tonight....
All opinions, help, and criticism wanted and appreciated. Tonight was my first time to track with the truck. It is stock except for a K&N and magnaflow muffler. I dropped the tire pressure to 25psi and turned off the OD. I launched at 1000rpm. Slip looks like this.
R/T... .629
60'... 2.052
330... 5.858
1/8... 8.947
MPH... 79.55
1000... 11.636
1/4... 13.911
MPH... 99.18
If anybody has any input for me to get a quicker time I am all ears, but I was kinda happy with this. The temp. was about 81 degrees and the humidity was at about 80. Thanks for any advice.

Heat and humidity really affect the performance of our trucks so I wouldn't be too disappointed in your times. Also, there is no real need to lower the pressure of your F1s. Many are able to cut down their 60 foots to 1.9x so you have a little room to work with there.
Your MPH should be 100 or so...

The only advice I have for you is to not warm up your tires before launching. The F1s dont hook worth crap when they are hot, plus your heating up the engine so much doing a burn out it might as well be considerd a "hot lap." Once I stopped doing the burn outs I did 2-3 tenths better. The winter is really the best time to go to race, get a chip and a cone filter and you should be able to click off a 13.3-13.7 ....somewhere in there
