Will high-flow cats void warranty?
There was a great post a few weeks ago from Rob_02Lightning. It showed the latest document written by Ford about mods and how that effects warranty coverage. I can't find it off hand, but it is worth searching for.
It really (sad to say) depends on your dealership and if they are willing to go the extra mile for you to cover.
My local dealership told me that I could add a k&n filter and that was it, if I made any other mods it would void the warranty. Many will argue that Ford needs to prove that the mod caused the malfunction to void the warranty, but who wants to fight that battle?
Good Luck!

ford will not cover certain parts that are related to cat conv. changes. they would not cover o2 sensors if they fail. it will not void your full warranty. they also have to prove other performance add-ons to be the cause of failure for parts not to be covered.
The Ford field rep voided mine because he suspected the truck had been modified. He found no proof, Service manager and master tech said they saw no signs of modifications, but because of one feild rep. and the "wounderful" people at ford customer service. I'm now stuck in a legal fight over a moron's suspicion. I know I will win the case since this is pure b.s., but it will probably take a few years and quite a few $$$$ to get this to court. Between then and now I have a expensive truck I can't drive or I can spend the money to fix it myself.
Hell all it needs is a complete motor.
