Need WHEELS

OK ... I got the 99-00 wheels and they won't clear
the dayum Brebos ... Now what? Does anyone
know if the '03 wheels clear? I've got a line on 4 of those
but unlike the 99's they would have to be purchased
without trying them out.

Guess it's the angle offset that let's our wheels take such
a big caliper, huh?

Help me out brothers ... Tace day approacheth

Cliff

What happened to your stock 02 wheels?

I have no clue if the 03's clear, sorry I can't help ya. You could send me your brembos and I can do some extended clearance and performance testing with them. I'll even pay for shipping!

I remember reading somewhere that ford worked with brembo while designing the 01/02 style wheel so that the wheel would fit the big brake kit? I dont know if this is true but im pretty sure that the 01/02 style wheel will fit.

Well I got a line on a set of 2002's I think ...
It's gonna cut it REAL close if I have to go
get the wheels and then get back for the
mounting Monday ... But I might be OK ...

OR maybe I should just get some SWEET
wheels that would clear the Brembos for my
DAILY drive and use my OLD '02's on the
RACE TIRES .... Yeah ... That has possibilities ...

Wonder if FOOSE has anything ???? EVIL SMILE ....

I went thru this with my brakes and the 99-00 wheels will not clear without a 5mm spacer, but the 01-02 wheels will fit. I never tried the 03 wheels, but the Foose would not clear according to Foose.

Are you sure they don't fit?

Dan (thepawn) has the Brembo brakes with chromed 99'-00' and they fit, it's only a credit card gap between the caliper and rim but it fits.

Nope ... Mine "clangs" right against the Brembo when you
tighten the lug bolts.

Motorcycleman came through last night and we
checked the '03's and they work with about a 2 mm
clearance ... So now I know what I need. And
hopefully I can get them pretty quick. My tires
should arrive here today ... Got Mounting, Alignment
and other stuff (Lower rear anti-sway bar ...) to all
get done before LABOR DAY ....

Guess either Daniel's a a hair deeper on the wheel or
a bit smaller on the caliper ... He lucked out ...
