Curious to know if anyone is seeing any valve problems with the big boost engines yet?

This is a subject that a friend and I discussed a couple of years ago. He tried unsuccessfully to come up with something. The machine shops he talked too couldn't handle it and he lost interest..............

It'd take a hellacious 5.4 to turn the kind of RPM needed for that valvetrain. I think the rods would fail long before the valvetrain. I think most L guys with head mods just have upgraded valves/springs/cams in ported stock heads.

That's a lot of scratch for roller rockers, but then again, 1800.00 for an exhaust system is pretty ridiculous too. I guess I would rather pay $1800 for 30 HP and 40 FTpounds gain from rockers than what the exhaust gives you (great sound and slight HP, TQ gain).

I don't know about that promod.
Lets look at the whole picture. Look at the gain throughout the rev range not JUST high rpm.

18hp and more importantly 21lbft TQ gain @4500 rpm

Unfortunately it only goes down to 4500rpm.
