That adjustment is AFTER THEY put a CUSTOM program on it for YOUR LIGHTNING and YOUR MODS.
So when you download the Custom Program on the Predator into the service port, you'll have CUSTOM Shift Points, A/F, Timing, Transmission Pressure, Etc...
Then you can tweak it "IF NEED BE" 5% in either direction should be plenty. Plus like a Chip you can always have a differant program put on it but meanwhile you still have your custom program installed And this will be done by downloading a new program into it via the internet (I believe)
You'll have all the options and adjustments you can possibaly want with the Predator.
Remember WE ARE NOT TUNERS
If they allowed us to do it from scratch, we'd be reading blown Motor Post daily

You know I was wondering about that myself. I don't want to have an problem with trying to tune it myself. But tweaking would be cool. I wonder if it will cost anything to download a new program?

Diablosport Predator allows the end-user to make the following fine tuning adjustments:
- Idle: Will adjust from -20% to +20%

- Cooling Fans: Will adjust both ON and OFF in 1 degree increments up/down.
- Power Enrichment (Fuel): Will adjust from -5% to +5% for PE mode
- Spark (Timing): Will adjust from from -10% to +10% for PE mode
- Shift Adaption (duration): Allows user to adjust the time delay during the gear change, i.e. quickness of the shift, from -25% up to +25%
- Shift Points (MPH): Allows user to adjust at what MPH the shift should take place, for each individual gear, in 1 mph increments.
- Shift Points (RPM): Allows user to adjust at what RPM the shift should take place, for each individual gear, in 10 rpm increments.
- Shift Pressure: Allows user to adjust the firmness of the shift action, for each individual gear, from -25% up to +25%
- Rev Limit: Allows user to adjust ON/OFF rev limits, for each individual gear, in 10 rpm increments.
- Wheel/Tire Sizing:
- Factory Wheel Size: Enter the factory tire size in XXX/XX-XX format, i.e. 275/40-17
- Actual Wheel Size: Enter the actual tire size in XXX/XX-XX format, i.e. 305/35-18
The Predator then calculates the difference in overall height for proper speedo calibration.
DiabloSport Performance tunes require the use of Super Unleaded/ Premium grade fuel only, Amoco, Sunoco, or Mobil, if possible.
Diagnostic Capabilities:
- Predator can read and erase fault codes, and contains all the Ford specific P codes.
- Predator diagnostics will work on all 96-03 OBD-II Ford Mustangs or F-Series Gas vehicles.
Live Data Logging and Monitoring Capabilities:

Although it would be funny watching people point the finger everywhere but themselves for blowing up their engine.
I only want one for the DataLogging feature.
But pro-mod hit the nail on the head. 5% is nothing and the scary thing is, youre not even going to know where or when to add the 5% of fuel unless you are on a dyno. IF you are on the dyno, you cannot tell the predator WHERE to add that 5%. Also, timing is another problem. If your chip is file is burned for 16 desgrees of timing, you can only raise that to 1.6 degrees max +/- . That isnt going to make a difference. James at RWTD said he is talking to diablo about this one. You should be given at least a 25% margin of change for timing and 20 - 25% of change for your fuel.
BTW. If none of you have looked into s Mafterburner to richen or lean out your tune in conjunction with your chip, its a good option to consider.
