One small bottle of nail polish remover and about 150 Q-tips should do it

It won't take much and I doubt you can buy it in a small enough can to not have enough.

Good luck,
Alvin

Get pure acetone... Trust me, the nail polish remover will take forever. After about an hour of using nail polish remover and only getting about one square inch done, I went to Wal-mart and got a can of acetone. Took me about 45 minutes to complete the whole job after that.

Carburetor Cleaner works well also.....just don't let it set up on the paint for ANY length of time.

Go get the acetone, it'll save you alot of headaches and time. I taped off the paint really well around the badges. Take your time and you'll be happy with the results. I wanted to take them off, but it turned out perfect leaving them attached. I'm just a perfectionist I guess.

Sounds like you didn't tape around the badges first. Shame on you. Acetone is a very aggressive solvent and you need to be very careful with it around painted surfaces. It sounds like you have some of the paint residue that ran off the badge onto the truck body. Get some mild compound and it should clean it up and follow up with some wax.

If you use fingernail polish remover it won't hurt the paint ... Just
wipe those black marks away with a cotton ball

Does anyone have an up close picture of acetone badges? Also, How exactly do you do this, just did cotton swap in aceton and rub on the lightning emblems. Please explain.....I would really love to hear about this and see pics?

Thanks!

ok, not to sound stupid here, but looking at the pic, its looking like the badge is polished or chrome after hitting it with Acetone. Am I correct on this?
