Going under the knife again tomorrow.

Well wish my luck guys, I am going in for my third and hopefully last leg operation tomorrow. Taking the broken rod out, installing plates and taking bone from my hip this time and grafting it to my leg. Doesn't sound like much fun at all. I am a little nervous but I don't think it has hit me yet. It seems like I will never drive the Lightning or Cobra again. Been over 2 weeks now, the Truck is at JDM and I think my brother is gonna pick it up for me on Monday. Hopefully I will be out of the hospital by then. Hopefully I will be pretty good by the end of next month, thinking about taking the trip out to LightningFest 2003. Not sure yet though. Well I am gonna get to bed soon. Wish me luck. -Mat-

I have had this rod in since last September, well 2 weeks ago it decided to break while I was driving the Cobra. It wasn't fun getting that bad boy home using one leg to drive. They tried bone graft back in Jan, that aparently didn't do anything. So now I sit here not being able to fall asleep awaiting my third surgery. This time they are trying to do plates and screws and some more bone grafting. This time they are taking the bone from my hip(doesn't sound like fun).

Thanks again for the well wishes!

Did I mention I can't sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Mat-

I know what you mean, but in my case, I can't sleep after the surgery! I bought my L in the beginning of May, and on June 5 I had a heart attack, followed by bypass surgery on the 8th. (I wasn't allowed to drive for a month, which was almost worse than the surgery.) I haven't been able to sleep well since, which is apparently a common problem, although I don't know why.

I'll remember you in my prayers!
