If the contacts are clean on the computer and the chip, and you have taped it in securely....and it still feels wrong, then send the chip back. There are only so many things you can do. You might check the contacts on the computer though, incase some of the metal has been rubbed thin or something similar from the chip not being taped down..if thats the case then you will either have to re-solder the contacts by hand or get a new computer.

your losing contact somehow I garauntee it, either through the chip being bad internally, or the computer's contacts being worn.
