Looking for a different antenna...

I bought the truck used and it's got a after market antenna that has a little spiral design in the middle of the thing. I like the way it looks and would not mind getting another. However, I am having no luck in finding this antenna. What are the options for a red or black antenna? Anyone use these Antenna ? Are they car wash safe? I sometimes go through the car was in the winter when I'm feeling lazy. I was thinking of the red, just worried it may look funny if it's not a paint match. Also, what do you think of the billet antenna on a truck without any bling? Do you think it may look funny also?

I cut my factory antenna down from 31" to 26" and it helped the looks.
I have been thinking of cutting it to 24", I think that would be just about right.
I got the instructions from www.mustangworld.com

I bought a shorter antenna from PepBoys. It has the spiral design. It seems to work as well as the factory antenna. I got it because I got tired of it rubbing on the garage door going in and out. It's profile is lower than the top of the truck.

Cut the stock one on my '03 L to 24". I liked that better then the billet one i had bought and thought about installing. Shortening the stock antenna is easy, easy.

It's the stock antenna cut to 14 inches and dipped in red plasticoat. Works fine down here in the flatlands. Probably too short for most other areas of the country though...
