Went to the track...
Went out to Sacramento Raceway this past friday to see what the truck would do with the new JLP traction bars and Nitto DR's, also had a new dyno tuned conservative chip on board. This time I got my dad to bring his 03' shadow grey cobra out to see what it could turn (totally stock except for Steeda Tri-ax shifter). There were a lot of nice cars out there, a few 03 cobra's, a few Z06's (one black on black with black chrome rims
Also had nitrous on it....badass) An SS or two, a Mach 1, and a few C5's and the always token ricer or two. Anyway, they were running all the big drag cars in one lane, and the street cars in the other, except if you had radials or ET streets. Since I had my Nitto's on they let me go in the big car (right side of the track) My previous best was a 13.197 @ 105 mph. Before the new tune and traction bars and Nittos. Those times were with a 1.97 60ft on 20's in 65 degree temps. Track prep on the left was HORRIBLE...the worst times I'd ever seen from EVERy street car there. The 2001 SS ran a 14.00 best, C5's were running 13.5's, Cobra's were running 13.3's, and the best I saw out of a stock Z06 was a 12.9. The right side however....was prepped OK. I ended up cutting a 1.87 60ft with the Nitto's @ 24 psi. My best time was a 13.13@104 mph. With the new tune I lost some power up top, (the sacrifice for safety ) I think a 1.79 is possible with the Nitto's I just need to practice more. My RT's were all consistent (.549, .557, .658). My dad's best time in his 03 was a 13.34 @107mph with a ridiculous 60ft time of 2.2 on the F1's. (Nobody could hook in the street car lane) I got to go heads up with him at the end of the night, it was about 75 degrees out.
Great race between us though...since traction was horrible in his lane he cut a 2.2 60ft against me, and I got a 1.91 jumping out to a quick 1 or 2 car lead. I ended up running a 13.2 @ 103.7 mph to his 13.4@106mph. (we were also hotlaping both cars, neither of them cooled down for over 15 minutes - we're impatient . Hoped to hit the 12's, and if it was 10 degrees cooler I think it could have happened. It was fun...last trip to Sac until the winter, gotta go to school down in LA...but hopefully I'll see a bunch of you guys down there at FFW @ LACR.

Man, you're running 13.1x in crappy weather, with ONLY 3 more lbs. of boost..................A lot of guys on here in the same conditions are running the same times with 6 more lbs of boost, and based on the times you listed for some of the other cars there that night, you're doing
Better weather, and 1.80 60', and you're EASILY seeing a 12.9x, on your current setup..............If you don't want to boost any higher, you can always get your tune a little more aggresive.......
BTW, your dad owns a Lightning too??? Now that's a cool dad!!
