I fish out of a 4'x10' 'plastic' boat known as a Basshunter, using just an electric, trolling motor. I fish only in ponds and small lakes.

Saturday, I'm in a 10(?) acre swamp pond about 2 miles off of the nearest paved road in middle Georgia. It's a pond I've fished hundreds of times over the years. It is full of stumps with bushes growing out of them. It is a maze with very little open water.

Third cast, I land a 2 lb Bass on a Buzzbait. I'm standing up, moving the boat in and out of between stumps/trees as I throw the lure out and reel it back in. Off to my left appears a 7-8' 'gator, floating on top, eye-fornicating me and my little boat. She justs floats there, about 20 yards away. I pick up my Glock 23, aim, shoot, and miss her---twice . She dives under and I move away and continue casting. There she is again, eye-ballin' me, drawn to the boat by the noise the Buzzbait makes when retrieved across the top of the water. I shoot---and miss again. She drops below the surface again.

I move even a little bit further away from that immediate area. I'm now throwing a 'spook'-type topwater bait. Off to my left again is a different 'gator. This one is 5-6' long--a teenager. It moves towards me too as I pick up my trusty, deadly accurite GLock(I know, it wasn't the gun's fault.) semiauto and squeeze off two more rounds at this one. It dives too and then resurfaces. I let off two more rounds, missing again and again.

I really move down the pond now to get away from 'their' area. I fished for another 1-2 hours and then decided they(me?) had scared the Bass away, so I left. Fish-eatin' bastards!

I knew I was gonna catch hell for my poor shooting. But remember, I was standing up in a boat--on the water so I wasn't in a very stable position. Y'all are correct though, I need practise.

I wish I had taken some dig. pics of the beasts. Just didn't think of it at the time.

Those type gators are used to being fed and can be dangerous....kill yourself a chicken and hang it from the side of your boat and splash it in the water....the gator will come..as soon as he gets close put your lasso around the chicken...he will then go under and you just wait till he hits the chicken and then BAM..lasso his freaken a$$ ...YEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAWWWWW

I've used the software and it doesn't work. I still see Gator posting on here.

I will admit though that it isn't as often, but I have a hunch that's because he's a working man now rather than the Gator uninstaller.

Get rid of the glock too. they are made to function under adverse conditions but not too acurate. Buy a H&K and get the best of both worlds. But if you perfer the glock, get a model 22 instead of the 23 for the longer sight distance, makes for better acuracy.
