i believe thats a pretty good unit, its the same thing the shop had when i had my truck dyno'ed

I forgot to mention that it sells for $349 including the sensor.

Doesn't seem to bad to me...

Looks like a great alternative. I wonder how many wires the sensor has? It's much cheaper than the FJO, which seems pretty accurate.

It uses a 5-wire sensor. I believe the one supplied is the VW sensor found here, 1stVWParts.com, from what the reading says it can use the $300 Bosh sensor also.

I am going this route as soon as the DIY kit is available, Tech Edge.

Funny you should mention that. Newer VW's come with wideband sensors on the exhaust and thats what the ECU reads. But for some strange reason, I cannot count how many owners have a bung welded onto the exhaust, a narrow band 02 sensor install, and then a cheapo A/F gauge installed ?????? It makes no sense.
