Wheres your switch?

Can you guys post pics of where you guys put your switches for your chips. I'd like mine to be reachable so i can switch on the fly. Just want some ideas.

Thanks,
Kyle

I don't have a pic of it but I have a switch under the steering wheel on the right side in that "cubby hole". I guess its for owners manual or something. It's a plastic casing so I just drilled through the back. It's just glued in now but I'm going to get (make/buy?) a cover with a hole for the switch to make it sleeker. Easy to reach spot, with room for extra switches (NOS!)

There is hole under the glove box on the left side that is perfect size for many of the smaller chip switches.

My radio reception is awful whenever any chip is installed, switched or not.

Are any of the chip vendors going to speak up about this? I corrected my problem - somewhat - by letting my switch just lay there. The radio gets better reception, but not the greatest. When i contacted my chip vendor about this, they said to send it back to them and I would get a revised chip with shielded wiring... this would take the static out of the radio. That is fine, BUT, I drive my truck daily. How in the world am I going to yank the chip, send it back, and wait for the new one to arrive? That could take the better part of a week. I should at the VERY VERY LEAST be able to have a core charge of some sort so that I can receive the new chip, swap, and send the old one back. I have bought many items and spent a fair amount of money at this vendor, and this is the treatment I get? Mike will not take care of me on this, and I am extremely disappointed. Maybe I will have to search elsewhere for parts

Before I changed to the Expedition overhead console, I had my switch in my stock console.

I love that placement zbornac! Any tips, instructions on how you did that? If it's too lengthy maybe you could hit me with an email to explain. Would be GREATLY appreciated!

It is very simple. All I did was extend the wires from the chip with speaker wire. Then I just ran it up the A-piller and above the headliner. Remove your console and drill the hole where ever you want it and put in the switch. Install and wire the switch and put it back together. Nothing hard about it at all.
