how would i rais the front bumper on my 03 lightning? Its a little off on one side.should i let my dealer do it?

 

I'm not all that handy when it comes to things like that so I'd let the dealer do it. Hey, if you've got a warranty why not use it while you can.

 

yeah but i bought it and the bumper was alredy like that will the warranty cover that? i hope so. there were 3 other lightnings on the lot ,all had the same flaw.

 

Very common problem. My 99 was like that is my 03 Lightning. Someone in Oakville needs a sledge upside the head to straighten their line of sight.

Probably a computer thing and tolerance factor on the line. Who knows.

Dealer will fix it for you as best as they can.

franks red 03 : the adjustment is not that bad to do yourself if you want... on the back side of the bumper you will see 4 nuts facing towards the rear of truck which hold the bumper to vehicle. (21 mm I THINK, been a while) After you loosen these up the bumper will move side to side but not up and down because they are held from this movement by spring/star washers, to get the adjustment you want back off the nuts to the end of the bolts and then tap on them with a soft hammer until they move towards the front of the truck . This releases the lock washers and allows for up and down adjustment! Hint: have a buddy help with the alignment it is a SOB to do alone! Goodluck
