Kenne Bell

I Just put the Kenne Bell on this weekend and I have a question for those of you who have one. At idle there's a wistling/sqeulling(sp) coming from the supercharger. Is this normal? I was thinking it might be coming from a leak between the upper pleneum and the SC but after listening I'm positive it's coming from the SC. I'd be thankful for any help you could provide.

Thanks Mike

I have a slight whistle at idle. No sqealing(sp?) though. I called KB directly during my install and was told to take off the top plate on the SC and put a bead of silicone under the plate then reinstall. They said they had ONE complaint of someone having a leak there. You may want to check that out. -Mat-

When KB sent me the second charger they had sealed it themselves, I think this is a step for quality control. The key is shortening your plenum bolts so they don't cause a vacuum leak. I took a 1/4 of an inch off and that on the surface has seemed to work. You just need to shorten the five shorter ones, not the long one.

I have the slight wistling too.

I'm not mike, but my install didn't take long. Maybe 1-2 hours at most. That is because I have all of my nitrous on the upper intake plenum.

It took me 3-4 Hours because I took my time and double checked everything to be safe. If i had more experience it would have took less time. The directions that come with it are very helpful. This was the first time i've replaced a SC and did it without a problem so if your thinking about doing it yourself, go for it
