Quick Magnaflow question..

Hi guys!

Is the Magnaflow Catback from Mark @ LFP the new, redesigned 2.0 version that was released recently, or the older design?

Also,

I am running a 2lber, chip, K&N and ran a 13.2. Will a JDM electric fan and traction bars get me in the consistent 12's?

Thanks guys!
M.R.

Impossible for it to be the older design.

Magnaflow only builds to order. Beginning of the year they switched to V2.0. Theres only one vendor i know of who buy them in bulk and it isnt anyone you guys deal with. He gets the lastest as well.

As of July, newest version avail is V3.0.

Im getting pending part #'s on the high flow converter mid pipes as we speak for those interested yesterday.

Part# doesnt change, just products design is supeceded.

X pipe was redesigned and tip placement was fixed once again. Tips stick out further, hang down 3/8" lower for easy polishing and are set back into the hole at a greater angle.

This system easily fits with rancho style bars with no modification necessary.

Thanks for the info. Any way to know if you have V2 or V3?

<---- only person who currently has V3.0

Next set they are building next week will be 3.0.

I tried to get them to go to 4" tips but there was no way to guarantee that it would not melt the plastic.

Did you feel any power increase after adding the 2.0 catback?

****, what do you mean by the x-pipe being redesigned? Was there a problem with the original design? Aside from some tip placement issues, is there any real benefit from the newer version?

I did have a bit of a time trying to get my v2.0 lined up right, but I did eventually get them to sit ok. It still would have been nice if the tips stuck out a little farther.

Magnaflow, unlike 90% of the other exhaust companies out there, always find a way to improve their existing product line. Since they are a full R&D center, they call customers up who are prior R&D vehicles and test new setups.

The system was inproved although they dont get into specifics.

There was no prior problem with the x pipe.

Jig has been fixed for the tip issue on the new 3.0. I had the tips on my 1.0 cut, rewelded and lined up to my liking.

****, any chance of Magnaflow

helping me out with the tip issue. I love the exhaust, but have commented before about tip placement. Thanks!

The tips on my catback are a little "iffy" as well. I would really have liked them to actually stick out further and hang lower so people can actually read the magnaflow stamp on them.

I personally dont understand the alignment problems people have with their magnaflow. I got mine for LFP just last week and it fit absolutely perfect.
