Workin at a customers house today and started talkin' truck's. He has a newer Expy with a 5.4 and said that around 60K he got a knock till the motor warmes up. Talked to Ford they said it's normal and OK, he left it with a high performance engine builder and he said it should be fine "Drive it like ya stole it." AND he talked to another Expy owner with about the same year and a 5.4 (68K) that say's his does it too. Anyone else hear of this mystery? If it's true I think I'll just let the SC drown out the knock. Granny.

 

Most all knock, Granny.....mine knocks so bad that I feel like putting some diesel in it to quiet her up......
