Jlp Lowering Shackles,adjustable??
I have, one of my first mods. Easy install, check out Rob_02Lightning's sight for install pictures.
I went with the 3 inch setting for the proper balance between front and rear. It should set your rear of the top of the tire about 5.25 inches.
The only problem I encountered was the stiff suspension after the install. I had planned to have the rear sway bar arms adjusted to compensate, but I haven't done that yet. I have been told you need to drill new holes in the frame rails and raise the sway bar arms a couple of inches.
Other than the stiff rear she looks great. Sorry I don't have any pictures, but there is another post that shows a couple other L's that have used the JLP adjustable.

Rob W over on NHTOC has stated that there is a phenomena with the '03 L's & HD's and that when you lower them the ride becomes more stiff and sometimes has a tendency to "buck". So, the problem with the rougher ride you're experiencing my be due to this and not with the shackles.
