i've had a fuel cell since last spring along with braided lines, fuel rails, regulator and a huge fuel pump, its mounted where the spare us to be. but i dont think that will work for a body dropped truck you could alway throw one in the bed. almost any good radiator shop should be able to make a fuel cell for you. or buy one from summit/jegs but then you may have to run an external fuel pump. and since this is more of a daily driver do not use a foam liner in the cell ince they tend to break down and to clog the fuel filters if you leave fuel in them for an extended period.
Thanks RDY
Problem is, the stock tank has all the sensors on it... but the fuel cell, from say Summit, would not have the holes for the sensors...
I have no problem running an inline pump and a regulator... but will it work if I do not have the sensors and the stock pump?
Besides that, with the Independent Rear Suspension, I had to build a whole new frame from the cab back out of 2"x4" .25wall boxed tubing..... with the rest of the frame boxed in and Xmembered for strength (truck will eventually grow some ***** power-wise out of the stock 5.4) I can easily make room for a cell about 18" deep without any problems....

I run a cell that is OBD@ compiate[sp] You have to get one that is close to the stock size and moditifythe full neck so you can pressuze it.Then have a box made to hold the sensors and run lines to the neck so they can pressurize the cell.BUT they can not get ANY fuel on them otherwise they will not work properly and turn the lite on.BIG PITA but it works.I made a pattern for the sensor box. and where it needs to go.But you will still need the fuel level sender which has to be custom due to the ohm values.Stan
****, now that sucks ... I might have to see if I can do something myself .. It isnt for performance, its just to raise it out of my way.
I might see if I can raise it up a few inches I guess.
Thanks for your help.
