Very Nice!

I had door speakers put in a few weeks ago. Do you have an opinion how much the Dynomat around the speaker like that helps. Does it stop the speaker from sounding hollow.

Is that dynamat on the plastic splash guard or did they cut that section of it out and put it on the metal?

The mat was cut to put the Dynomat in. How much does it help? Dunno went straight from old paper speakers to the Blaupunkt PCxt573. Some people here were singing the praises to the Dynomat god's, so I figured while it was off I'd have it put in. The speakers are $80 with installation. By INSTALLATION they mean if you already have a hole in your door and they only have to unbolt the old speaker and shove the new one in. Dynomat is put on with a heat gun and then rolled on, the guy took about 5 minutes per door getting it into every single little crack and groove re-heating and rolling as hard as he could, I think it's welded on there now.

Damping mat is very effective at stopping rattles and low frequency noise. It should also be used with an absorber (foam, carpet mat) and a barrier (mass loaded vinyl, lead) for total sound proofing.

I did mine last week but i didn't remove thewith panel from the door. After I lifted the panel off, I reached under and removed the connectors. I replaced speakers before i installed the new system and WOW, what a diference from the factory to the new!

I can get my door panel off in about 3 minutes. Try it this way, much less strain on you and the door panel bending! If I hadnt seen it done I would do the same thing. I'm gonna buy rear speakers soon and will post those pics too. Final note when this thread moves way down the list I'll put the link in the speaker section, nothing ever moves there!
