Best oil for 03' Lightning

CAn anyone tell me what is the best oil for an 03' Liightning. I'm just about ready for my first oil change and I want to start off right? I've been using Mobil 1 5w-30 in my 00' F-150 4x4 and it seems to be working well. Is there anything better? Should I try Mobil 1 10w-30? Thanks..

Since 5W-20 is recomended, i wouldn't run anything heavier than 5W-30. The tolerances in todays engines are very close and require lighter oil. I run Mobil 1 5W-30 in my '03 as I did in my '00 Harley edition with no issues what-so-ever.

0-20 Mobile 1 has replaced 5-20 Mobile 1 and is recommended to use in Ford and Honda's.

That's what I use even in hotter than Texas

P.S.

I have a 2003 engine

I've been using Mobil 1 5W30 since my first oil change with no problems. BTW, how many miles do you have on your truck?

Thanks for the replies eveyone. I had forgot to mention that my 00' is also supercharged and that the Mobil 1 seems to work great in it. I was just wondering if 10-30 would be better for some 1/4 mile runs?
Vinnie, I just hit 500 miles this morning on my way to work. BTW, the truck is only 1 month young. Hopefully, the weather here in NY will get better.....so I can really get some miles on her.

Id let the motor break in with conventional oil for at least 2500 miles before going to synthetic oil.....Ive been trying out the Royal Purple and my motor seems to run great with it.....

Valvoline 5W-20 for the first two oil changes, this will help seat the rings in.

After that Mobil One 5W-30 or 0W-20
Any of the other 5W-30 Synthetics like Amsoil or Royal Purple are good too.
