Turbo's vs. blower on Gen 2?

As most of us have read, as of late it seems a lot of built motors are hitting the street and are making some nice numbers lets say 650hp and 750Fpt, has anyone pulled the blower and tried a turbo setup, or twin turbo? I just read Hennesey Viper with a twin turbo is making 1100hp and is the first V-10 in the 8's at like 150mph pumping only 10 pounds of boost. I was curious if anyone had tried it, lets say a built long block, custom intake to take advantage of the stock intercooler and a single or dual turbo setup, I'm thinking 1000hp should be achievable without a ton of boost, what are your thoughts?

I suppose given everything being equal, including unlimited funds...you would go turbo, or bi-turbo similar to what Audi runs.

But given what we already start with, I'm not sure it would be more beneficial to rip out what we have and start over. Not only motor and power adder, but then custom exhaust too.

If you can afford it, go for it, I will pull for you.

turbo would be nice, but there are two things

1) who doesnt love the low end insane torque out of the hole
2) what are you gonna do about the whine? Maybe you could burn a cd of the whine noise and just play it when you floor it, but i don't know if itll really compete.

I remember seeing a post about a guy w/ a turbo in his Harley truck. I think it ran mid 10's? Had the exhaust coming out infront of the front driver's side wheel. I think I also remember he had a mustang w/ the lightning engine it...

Correct me if I'm wrong but a turbo is much more efficient than say our Eatons right? Turbos will put out anywhere from 75 to 100 percent more power over stock compared to the roots style eaton blower which puts out around 50 percent more power than stock(once again correct me if I'm wrong) so it would seem logical to go with a turbo right? What other changes need to be made for a turbo to work with our motors?

For a All out race truck, A turbo will make killer power, but for a everyday driver the Turbo isnt going to pull you out of the hole like a roots blower. www.proturbokits.com is in the process of building a Turbo for the 03 Cobra. Its going to be neat to see how that kit does for the 03 Cobra owners, no doubt it will make more power with less boost but will it be fun to drive ?

X2C motorsports out of Van Nuys California are running a twin turbo setup on their 03 cobra if I'm not mistaken, not sure on the times though but it definetely is a beast.

im not sure if the turbos would make a lot of lowend to make a 5k lb truck move very fast off the line. although it would be cool. but isnt a works 140 or kenne bell s/c just as effecient as as a turbo (aside from power to drive it from the crank) when it comes to making a cooler air charge? turbo lag can be a killer
