Does anybody know what amount you have to keep your purchase under to keep from paying that doggone 10% federal luxury tax? That would definitely be a dealbreaker for me.

Just great. Let me guess. The Lightning is a gas guzzler? How much is the tax. Now that I think about it, that doesn't apply to trucks, does it?

 

No, because its a truck.

However, the 03 Cobra carried the GG tax

 

There is no need to guess that the lightning is a gas guzzler, but it is exemt (sp?) from the tax because it is a truck, but don't worry you will put many, many tanks of gas in the truck if you buy one.

 

And the damn thing gets considerably better milage than our Ls do!
