Do you have a lot of tickets or accidents?

I am paying roughly $900 yr for 100/300/100 lia & uninsured w/ 500 deductibles thru Allstate.

I paid invoice, $33,2XX. $386 every 6 mos for insurance.
The dealer tried to give me the line - "we normally add $5k for SVT sales", I told them that I'd walk if they added anything. Needless to say, they didn't tack anything on to the invoice (it was bad enough that no one around here would sell one on the X-plan).
Good luck.

Exclamation

MEAT BAG!!! What have you done, dude? I have already called for a quote from Progressive (currently using and haven't had to make a claim so far, keeping my fingers crossed because of possible poor customer service) and I was only going to go up to $61/mo. from $54 on my 2002 SCAB XLT! And yes, I told them it was a LIGHTNING and she repeated it back to me when she found it listed.

I paid $28,432 for my 03 in May on the D-plan. My insurance is $52 (every six months) more than my 00 Expedition that I traded in. The Expedition was $512 through Allstate.

Ummm...looks like you paid sticker. Invoice would be more like 27-28k.

I didn't think any dealers were still getting sticker. well...helps with resale

Paid X plan...29,722...got 23,500 for my 01
Insurance went up $60 every 6 months for a total of $1067 with USAA.
I'm 22 with 2 at fault accidents that resulted in 2 totalled cars. If you have a family member in the military then you can't beat USAA's prices.

BTW...X plan is a set price Ford tags on all it's vehicles that's usually around invoice. It's good cause it's a no haggle price, but not all dealers choose to participate and not all vehicles are let go at that price either. PIN number is required.

$500 over invoice, 30,400 or so plus tax, license etc. Insurance is about $1100 a year.

Well, I went to the dealer last night and got a price. I told him I had a pin and a code, but it wasn't exactly described to me as the x-plan (it's a deal my mom gets through her work and sounded like x-plan). The way she described it to me, I could get it by being her son, but relatives any further distant couldn't. Anyway, when I told him he just went and got the invoice anyway, which made me happy and he seemed to indicate that they don't normally do that on these but they had several to get rid of, so I don't think he really cared if I had x-plan or not. Now for the bad news, I thought the current gray was actually the silver froma year or 2 ago, so I was disappointed in the color (not bad, but not exactly what I wanted). My next favorite color is the black and unfortunately he didn't have one of those, so I may have to hunt another friendly dealer down. Last of all, The hardest thing I have to do is sell my current truck first (I knew they wouldn't give me squat for it). So, DOES ANYBODY WANT A 2002 XLT WITH TOWING PKG, 3.55 LS, BEDLINER AND 5.4? (Not really sorry for the caps as I am trying to shout this from the rooftops). I am asking $20K, but realistically will take about anything over $19K and probably won't wait too long to drop to $18,750 which I won't go below because this is payoff. Sorry about the long post, just getting excited and trying to make this work. Oh yeah, it has 16,000 miles and is in excellent condition, as probably everbody on this boards' is.
