on friday night i was headed out to meet some friends for dinner. i pulled onto the road i needed to take to get to the restaurant. what pulled up next to me you ask, a 2002 SS LS1. (imagine my excitement. ) well we drove next to each other for about 3 miles. we both had cars in front of us and it seemed like we were both waiting to get stopped by a light. well, it finally happened, the light changed to red. he got in front of the car ahead of me and i got into the far right lane. it seemed like that light took forever. it finally changed to green and we both creeped through the intersection. then, i heard him punch it!! i also burried the throttle and instantly pulled ahead of him. about 2 seconds into the race, i hit a small bump and the engine died!! MY GODDAMN CHIP RATTLED LOOSE!! it didnt fall out, just enough for the engine to die. i waited a good 15 mins to show these 2 guys what a lightning is all about then NOTHING.

ahh well. ill find him again. this town isn't that big

yeah id be pissed. Is your chip just sitting in there or have you taped it in? Maybe some duct tape would prevent that in the future.

 

OHHH BOY, I can just imagine him giving details about his kill, and having to reassure his friends that "YUP, it was a L, no doubt about it"

Ive had that happen twice, but not during a race, so now I run a piece of duck tape behind the chip.....

 

i have a piece of tape on the computer, it just came loose. i guess its time for some new tape.
