How low 2 go ?
How low 2 go ?
The big `L` arrives 31-07-03 DSG. Only customs clearance and duty to pay, party time begins!
How much will I need to lower it on stock rims to level it off. The `03`s ride pretty high in all the pictures. I`ve havent seen the truck yet but i`m sure it`ll need a drop to look right.
Any body got pictures of a 2" drop on an `03? Seen post of roush front and rear, looked pretty trick. Hoping just rear, more $$ for tuning!
Re: How low 2 go ?
I lowered my 2000 with just 2" drop shackles. The 03's do sit up higher, so I'd do 3" if availible. Then for front I'd also go an inch down in the front if you are really concerned about looks. I wish i'd a done mine 3 in the back and 1 in the front. Im afraid sence I already did only 2 in the back, if I lower the front 1, I will be back where I started with the fork in the back... I love how it sits leval now. (but wish the front was down about an inch) Also there are some nice 3/4 drop kits out there... look around you'll see em'
good luck. shane
Conventional wisdom says don't go below about a 1.5"-1.75 drop in the front. Lower than that can cause ugly bump steer. www.roushperf.cam has Lightning suspension systems on sale right now.
I guess from a few clues in your post that you are UK based, (sorry if I am wrong) and looking forward to getting into your L. If you have not driven one be prepared for the wow factor when you hit the pedal I still get a buzz after 2 years + Let me know
I am a UK L owner with a few mods, not to much on the performance side but a few nice additions. I have thought about a lowering kit and have had a quote to ship a So Cal kit over. does anyone have an opinion on this kit? its not the cheapest around but seems to be well thought out with shock extenders, end links and cam bolts included.
