Well that was a one off pulley made for ibfast (then sold to Suavy)............it is not in production.

FYI.........ibfast tried it last year in the cold fall air and ran several tenths slower than his 8# lower, 1# upper combo. I am guessing due to the crazy amount of heat it generated.

We have been over spinning these Eatons for a while and I wondered when the threash hold of heat/power would have been reached. Guess the 8lber is when the heat over comes the power

I don't know why he had to go and get one CUSTOM-MADE?!?!!?

Why not just put on a stock Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic Wheel from the early 90's....................that should do.

whats a magnum powers blower? I have never heard of it. Why would it need a wagon wheel of a pulley ?

if you have a more efficient blower (read: less heat), you are able to run more boost.

the reason you would need more boost is: to go faster.

but if your question was meaning "why a large bottom pulley, and not a smaller upper pulley", the answer would be :
he has a 2lb upper already.

another answer to the above question would be:
smaller upper pulleys reduce blower belt surface area (read: slippage)

not trying to be an ***, just trying to be informative.

I always figured the aftermarket blowers were more efficient and wouldnt require such an oversized pulley to run higher boost levels than the stock eaton. I would think a pulley that size would be a waste of time on any blower that is made for our trucks. As someone stated, he gained time on his 1/4.

Nah Konig, the previous owner with an Eaton found it didn't help.

Suavy has just finished his engine recently and is testing. This pulley may work for him and his Magnum Power blower. They're another, third, blower manufacturer...they remake Eaton stuff like the Works112 did. They seem to be huge for the Thunderbird market.

The amount of air required to suck in that huge filter must be over 1000 CFM!
That's cool

I can't find a word about the Lightning on the Magnum Powers Web site. Anyone have any information?

All the do is port the blower casing, polish he outside and call it done. You could do that yourself. I guess they replace the rotors too. Dunno about that one. Dont expect monster #'s from a MP blower.

If porting is such a waste, why bother with ported/polished heads? I have noticed most of the guys in the 11s and below have ported heads.
