Does anyone NOT have noise from aftermarket pulleys?

My truck already rattles like a diesel due to (I guess) piston slap. Am I doomed to more noise if I put on a crank pulley?

Mine sounds the same way, took the lower pulley off and reinstalled the oem pulley, still makes the same sound. Now have metal pieces in the blower snout oil and bearings.

Tim, I had my blower replaced around 2000 miles ago. My old blower was very loud and after replacing it found it was damaged. After the install of new blower my truck is now quiet again, Are you sure its your engine ? I determined my noise to be the blower by simply taking the belt off. The Noise was also more noticable in drive vs idle.

All i hear is a high pitch whistle noise around 1500-1700 rpm. Not rattling though.

It's been a while, but I never noticed any real increase in idle noise when I switched from a stock lower pulley to a 4# pulley.

Noises?
At idle.......
1. Converter rattles. Art Carr
2. Valve tap noise from headers thin tubing design.
3. Blower full of marbles from pulley's.
All bother me!

At WOT.......
1. WWII air raid siren from blower
2. Kick *** scream from LT's, high flow cats and Magnaflow's.
3. Tire screeching launches and top of second burnouts when Converter locks.
4. Whining and crying from M3 owner I smoked like salmon last night.........

PRICELESS!

These are the pro's and cons of mods.

Eric

heh - I have the SAME noise... decided I like it - sounds like a centrifugal supercharger that whines at all RPMs

I get a rattle from my blower after I installed my 4# lower. That rubber-clad factory pulley really helps to quiet that thing down.

Install a KB, it'll quite right down.

I had some "cavitation" noises from the Eaton, but after removing the blower I found no signs of damage at all. That was with a 10lb lower and 1.5lb upper.
