Who is going to ModMotor

Well after changing my mind many times, the workload around hear has dictated a shorter trip. With that said, I will be going to the ModMotor shootout. Installs and product sales will be done in the vendor area. Those of you going stop by and check us out. Also, if you are looking for something let me know and I will try to bring it.

I will be there... Maybe we will see some quick Lightnings FINALLY. I am tired of going to these events and seeing these supposed "FAST" trucks run in the mid 12's. I can see and do that at home. Either these people aren't fast, or they are sandbagging.

I'll be there too (watching). I anticipate some good times, since the track surface is decent. Hopefully Saturday AM will be cool (low 70's) for some good ET's.

the truck classes are setup as open comp something like bracket racing but your fastest qualifying time minus a tenth is your dial.

i'll guarantee even the fastest mustang that will be running the big open comp race wont be running flat out. in a sense yes you'll see everyone sandbagging a little thats what racings all about. now if it were heads up than yes run it flat out.

I just want to go someplace and see these things run flat out. To date, i have not seen any of these "fast" Lightnings. I don't race for cash or to win... it's all about going fast. That's what I like to see.
Bracket racing or not, these guys run way slower than they could and I don't understand that. So run a tenth off your dial and do it that way... not go 2 seconds slower so that you can win... that's seems a bit weak.

Yes, it'd be nice to see some flat out, heads up racing. The sandbagging seems silly to me. If they want to run a 11.6 instead of an 11.5 in case of a bad launch, fine. A tenth + the tenth breakout cushion should be plenty to cover a poor launch. But it's silly to ease off to a 12.x pass, as I fear many will do.
