KenneBell boost a pump

I'm pretty sure the boost a pump and boost a spark are identital. I have a boost a spark and want to wire it to the fuel pumps. Does anyone have the directions for the boost a pump they can send me? Or maybe post what wires to tap into. I'm guessing tap the wires after the resistor, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Hey-

simple.

Wire into the hot side of the fuel pump relay, attach ground, run the boost sensitive pressure regulator hose to the tee where your boost gauge hooks up (I have the boost dump "mod"--if you do, hook up where the vacum cap is). Connect all the lines, and you're golden.

Set the dial at 25%...this was good for A/F's in the 10-11 range pulling 658hp (cutouts open, 50% C16). All the way was to rich. My intial fuel pressure was 38 at idle, vac on. Next dyno, I'll lower idle pressure to 35 and dial the pump all the way up to see the variance.

I'm not sure if the BAP is the same as the BAS though.

Call me at 603-765-3559 and I'll fax you the directions, if you'd like.

The directions state:

"Ford Trucks, all models and years from '91 up (that we know of) Green w/Yellow stripe. Under power distribution box, under hood"

Right from the directions.....gotta love "that we know of."

Good luck.

I'll look for it tomorrow. Thanks.
I'll take a picture when I find it so others won't have this trouble.

Well, I finally wore down a tank of gas at the same time I got to work so I dropped the tank. I've been noticing a small drop in fuel pressure and the wide band was showing lean at WOT the other day.

I crimped one of the hose clamps too tight last time I played around in the tank.

I replaced with a brass T fitting.

I also installed the KB Boost-a-Spark. It is the same as a Boost-a-Pump. I don't think I had a need for the boost-a-spark so I used it.
There are two wire harness connectors under the air box.

One has a thick brown wire w/ white strip and the other is a large red wire. I cut both of those wires coming from the fuse box and crimped them to the fused red KB boost-a-pump wire. I crimped the other side(gas tank side) to the red not fused KB boost a pump wire.

It seems to work okay, I mean it runs...so far...

I shorted the boost connector to see if it did work and it seems to work.

Missing picture of boost a spark set at 10.
