Unhappy Depressed...1yr. 20day old L only has 3,200 miles...

Dropped off truck at first stereo shop in late March...got it back in late May. Paid the stereo shop $6k (labor only) and they butchered my L. 3-month custom install looked like high-quality swap meet install.

Three days after I got it back, I took it to it to a new shop. It's been there for the past 2 months. Everything is just about done but nothing can be installed because the co. manufacturing the boot is taking it's sweet f*cking time fabricating the boot. The boot needs to be installed prior to install of all the other parts to check for leaks, etc.

We've been at their mercy for the past 2 weeks. Today they said we would get it next week for sure. Once we get the boot, truck will be done in 3-5 days depending on how much touch-up will need to be done and how quickly all the painted fiberglass parts (box, etc.) dries completely.

Co. is on the East Coast. The East Coast = bunch of lazy asses.

Sure, why the hell not. It's not like they're being used.

Why would you take the Truck to the East Coast for a Stereo ? You cant tell me that Cali doesnt have a shop that could do what you wanted ? Sorry to hear about your problems though.

Sorry to hear that man, don't fret though, hopefully these new guys can get it right and get your stuff straight!

Btw ive had my L for 1 yr and it only has 1700 miles on it. Sits in the garage all the time, I might need to get rid of her.

They're so close to finishing, yet so far. It feels like this will never get finished- not installer's fault.

My dad came by to visit me yesterday and thought I had sold the L because he hadn't seen me drive it for a couple of months....I told him I let my girl, Selma Hayek, borrow it.

I noticed in your signature the comment about your auto open cover. Do you have any pic's of the install and info on where you bought the parts. Thanks.

No pics yet. The actuators were purchased by the stereo shop, but if you pick up a copy of Truckin' magazine you'll find a shop advertisement listing the price range of the actuator.

Good luck.
