Tim,

What are your thoughts on the Hotchkis springs for an ext. cab as a street setup? Will this be entirely too harsh? Will the Edelbrock shocks tame the ride any (I know about the falling away in a turn if you hit a bump).

Any other thoughts will be appreciated. You can email a me reply if you like.

Steve
Very hard to say. "Too harsh" by whose standards? And, as you noted, shocks may play a bigger part in harshness than springs. I am now so used to my setup that I can't even remember what the truck was like stock, so I have lost my reference point.

If I were buying new springs now, I would probably get the Roush. Rosuh springs are dirt cheap on the Web site right now. www.roushperf.com

You're definitely right about the "by whose standards". By most people's standards I guess. I rode in a Hotchkis screw a month or so ago that had just the front and rear springs (stock shocks) with no Hotchkis sways, but the front bump stops hadn't been changed. I didn't think it rode too bad, but I could definitely tell because of the bump stops that it was a little harsh, but other than that I didn't think it was too bad

The Roush springs are definately a good deal.

I still would like try out the new Hotchkis springs just see if the difference is noticable then the older ones.
