Tips for first time with the L

Hey Guys

Im going racing this weekend in the L for the first time im basically bone stock except for boost bypass and MAC intake. Just wondering if you could throw some tips my way so i can make a fast ET? Ive had some practice launching with out to much wheel spin but some times on the track its harder to get traction. anything will help thanks alot!

Leave at idle and then smash it

u may need to peddle the throttle depending on traction...otherwise drive it like u stole it

Once you see the last yellow light, then launch. If you wait until you see green you will get a late start. Don't anticipate the last yellow though as you will probably red light. Depending on the track conditions, you might have to feather the throttle to get traction and keep from spinning. Good luck and have some fun.

Bone stock you can hold the RPMs at 1200 on the launch with F1s. Some have tried it with success. Also, flash the convertor as that may help.

No real need to feather into the throttle on a stock truck really. You can get into the gas pretty good without breaking out.

Good luck!

Put rear tire pressure to @22-25 lbs
Do a nice LOW RPM long burnout
overdrive off
leave truck in D
foot OFF THE GAS
foot on brake (you wanna leave from a dead idle)
when it's time, foot off the brake, and pedal to the metal'
I got 1.8's + 1.9's everytime on my F-1's this way

Best of luck GoneIn60Seconds
HAVE FUN

Being that it is his fist time, there is really no reason to get worried about reaction time, since his time doesn't start till the light is tripped, he just needs to get used to launching the truck.
