I was thinking on getting the Sparco Torino seats, but Don told me that if you have bigger than a 34 waste they will probably be uncomfortable.

Sparcos are $570/each. The Recaro SRDs are about $475/each.

Bob: Yea, I checked with SVTOA. The last day to sign up is noon of this coming Thursday. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go to that, especially if I'm getting the seats. And the Roush isn't even complete nor installed. Just waaay too much on my plate right now.

Quit sounding like Joey

forget the fawking seats... learning to drive what you have first THEN upgrading makes it more fun and you a faster driver.

That can be likened to

"I'm not going to WFC because I don't have my uber mega booster installed."

RUN WHAT YA BRUNG.

Hey, I went to WFC.

And the seats are something I've been working on for God knows how long. You know how long it's taken me to sell my stock seats? About 9 months. Getting these seats is like having my firstborn....

The Recaros are cheaper by about $120. But I would rather have the seats I want than worry about $120, especially if I'm paying at least $1200 + already.

From the looks of the photos the Recaros have better side bolstering, but the Sparcos are trick.

Have you been able to sit in both seats?

Hehehe I see everyone seems to be leaning towards the Sparcos. I admit they look very sharp, although the Recaro pics aren't doing the seats justice.

Either ones I will be happy with I'm sure. Guess I have about one week to decide...

I think they both use the same brackets so that doesn't matter, just the seat itself.

my point still stands

You attended WFC as-is correct? What's the difference? Having no seats and subsequently subject to using the patent pending Go-Rilla seat mod notwithstanding, or something?

For your own good, stop letting the Terror of Orland Park's mentality rub off.

I sat in the Torinos at a local import shop and liked them. They had great lateral support and you can get a lumbar support pad to compliment it.

I admit the Recaros do look like they provide more lateral support. Higher bolsters on the sides...GRRR decisions decisions.

Umm I don't know why you keep bringing up Joey? I've wanted aftermarket seats for longer than I have known him! And just an FYI, he refuses to even do the expy console mod, let alone aftermarket buckets. He loves those stock seats.

Bottom line is I would hold off on the seats if selling my stock seats weren't such a pain. I have to offset the cost of the aftermarket seats with my stock seats, but I can't sell my stock seats without getting aftermarket seats first (daily driven truck). Sort of a catch 22 and selling stock seats is not easy . Hell, I'm shipping the seats all the way out to California because I couldn't find a local buyer. This opportunity I just can't let go. I'll see you at IRP next year though.

Besides, you've seen me Bob. You know I get thrown around in those stock seats without a harness!

Besides, I will be going to NMRA this weekend. I try to attend as many events as my budget and schedules allows me to. Also trying to make it to LightningFest in September if my schedule is clear enough (classes, exams, etc.)
