I Got The Hook-Up

'Charged:

Search on my user name and you'll find THE definitive thread on the topic, just a couple posts ago, so you don't have to dig very deep down into the pile.

Enjoy.

Caveat Emptor

Let the buyer beware, as far as unnecessarily hacking into the computer harness goes.

Silver, you did a very nice writeup and Im not saying it is wrong. If you do it the way Sal writes it up, your not hacking into the harness. You are tapping into a ground, grounding this wire will do nothing more than turn on the fan. Supplying a ground is in no way going to blow anything in the PCM. There are more than 1 way to skin a cat, neither is wrong and both do the same thing.

BTW Both are tapping into the factory wiring, yours with power, Sals with ground. If Sal is hacking your way should be considered hacking too.

Ummmm...

'Year:

I'm specifically cautioning against hacking into the COMPUTER harness. HERE BE MONSTERS, if you get my drift.

My method (which is by no means exclusively my own), involves hacking into "dumb" wires by way of comparison.

It also works with the ignition off, key out, the whole works, which has some certain advantages.

Damn!

By the way, as a general observation, we sure do love to JOCK our favortie tuner around here, don't we?

Like a bunch of puppies competing for a Milk-Bone or a belly rub.

Never bought a thing from Sal, I bought my ASP pully from ASP direct, I made my own electric fan kit, (Outta Ford Parts) I did by my K&N and trans line mod from JDM but you dont see me jocking him. I can agree people do cry like little kids, my tuner is better. In this case I was just offering another option I had seen.

Just for you

Sweet!

'Year:

One of the best jpeg-garnished smack-back replies of the year. Outstanding work, Chief, particularly for someone with a screen name from a children's Disney movie.

Outstanding work. Your pup(s)?
