Intercooler pump has a long delay before turning on

I installed the jumper wire on the fuse box under the hood to circulate the coolant in the heat exchanger. It wouldn't pump!!!, I turned the truck on and it took 5 minutes till the pump started to turn on!!! I'm running at the track with the pump turning on only after 5 minute? WTF? Everyone else puts the jumper on and bingo, their pump works. We have concluded that the delay is in the computer. Any suggestion? I'm going to put the SPAL fans but it would be nice to have the pump recirculate!!!

I thought that the pump kicked in when it reached a certian temp.

Your not using the correct pins, when you create a jumper you are bypassing the computer and taking a Always Hot lead directley to the pump. If you have a delay you might have something hooked up wrong.

I used the same jumper as my friends and his works fine. But what I did just to test it out, was to wait until the pump kicked in and kept it in at all times even once I had the truck running.
