Questions about 6lb lower??

Went to the track last night in north Alabbma hot and humid I have a 00 L with PSP single program chip and K&N. It ran a 8.67 @ 82.39 mph with a 1.95 60ft.

If I get a 6lb lower pulley and change the plugs (?? Which kind??)
What should the truck run with say a 1.90 60ft. In the 1/8

your trap speed might be higher but unless you have hella traction your 60' might even go down.

Six Spd Z28: Yea it's been pretty hot I was thrilled my 00L chip and k&N besides that stcok ran a 8.67 @ 82.39 yesterday in the heat. I've only had it for 2 months so I haven't had a chance to race it in the cool weather. i hope that it will pick up more when it gets cooler out.

Oh yea when I get the 6lb I 'm going to also get nitto Drag radials. I hope maybe a 8.3xx out of it in the cool weather.

If you get a good 60', you should be low 8's. 8.00-8.20. (Cold weather)

But there are LOTS of varialbes that can change that. But since it's so hot and humid, maybe a 8.4 if you're lucky. Buy some slicks man, dr's are cool, but just get u some ET streets. I raced 1/8 mile w/ em and I love em.

Roasted em for 10 sec. in drive and pulled 1.80 (highest 1.86) on a VERY slick track.

By comparison, in cool weather ( 45-60 degrees) I can go 7.95 in the 1/8, which nets me a 12.39 to 12.45 in the 1/4. In the heat (80-90 degres) I slow to 8.3 or so in the 1/8 which gives me a 12.65 to 12.80 in the 1/4. I run a 6 # lower and use NGK-TR6 plugs gapped at .036 to .038.

The first time I took my L to the track I ran 8.19 with a 1.77 60ft on Nitto DRs, It was 84 degrees at night. I was told I ran 7.92 on my first pass but at that time the time slip machine wasnt working and they anounce the times on a PA speaker so I couldnt get that time slip. Recently the weather has been around 90-100 at night my best time I could run was 8.76 with a 2.20 60ft spinning the tires. I run a 5# lower and a 2.7 upper. DRs are good for the street but for the track it depends on track prep. I think that with cooler weather and some sliks I would be at around 7.6-7.8 on the 1/8.

This heat has been bad and the track sucks. I ran a 8.6 at 87mph 2.260ft the other day with all my mods.
