Is there some way you can see if a coil pack is bad or do I need to take it to someone with some testing equipment, like (gasp) the dealer?

i could be wrong here but if you do the odometer trick when you start the truck up it might tell you the code of your CP is bad.
basically you hold the odometer reset in turn the truck on keep it held, then it will do a guage sweep, then one of them tells you a trouble code and i think on nloc under the supporting vendors performance specialties forum there are a list of codes.
you could just unplug them one by one and see if there is any difference.

what it does
It misses a little at WOT. I just changed plugs hoping that would correct the issue-put in TR-6s-though it smoothed it out some, it didn't eliminate it. 25K with a 4# pulley and superchip since 10K with no issues. I also have an SES code now. Under part throttle it seems fine. WOT it sputters a little. Can't feel it but you can hear it.
