Most of the later model aftermarket decks will play burned cd's. If you're looking to upgrade to a top of the line head unit, then look for one that will also play mp3's. My Kenwood Excelon 859 will play mp3's and I can get over 100 songs on one disc. I paid $350.00 brand new for it off of ebay.

The factory changer plays burned cds fine. I would probably try another brand of CD-Rs before I swapped decks.

I like the Alpine, Pioneer's and Kenwoods.

Pick one that fits your price range. Majority of em play MP3's now.

I can play cd'r's on the stock deck, just not mp3's. I have to convert them.

They do play, just that they skip randomly when not going over a bump or anything, and its sometimes says focus error, I'll try a new brand and let you know.
