26" tall ET Streets too short?

I have an opportunity to run a friend's 26" ET Streets at the drag strip, but am concerned they will be too short for my L with the 3.73 rear gear. Anybody run this combo? Don't you run out of rpm's way before the lights? I just can't see shifting into overdrive at the strip.
