So I'm in the drive-thru at the local fast food place and in front of me is a black Expedition. It was very nice looking, tastefully tricked out with these really nice 22" wheels (also in a high gloss black) nice mirrors, and a really sweet dual exhaust, rectangular pipes both in the center on the back. Really nice sounding exhaust. The tali lamps had a smoked glass and you could see that a good amount of money was put into upgrading this vehicle. Then to top it all off....Lightning badges on the front fender like our L's and a Lightning badge in the back (lower left)

Why oh why do this? He had done a nice job modding an Expy, and then he had to go and stick Lightning badges on it.

Walkin' down the street with my bud when a car much like that drove out of Car Toy's. Sweet was an understatment, It was incredible! Black, lowered, big rim's we were stunned by it's beauty! Then the rap music poured forth in all it's glory..... ack...gag... turned to my buddy and said, "All that money and they still can't buy taste." this wasnt a debate on muscial taste Just because there are things your unable appreciate doesnt mean they lack taste.

 

ford has a concept lightning expy, who knows maybe is has all L parts, then it deserves the badges.

 

Only 4 minutes for a post against me. Hmmm... Well I never joined a board before because I didnt have anything thats gotten me as excited as my L in a long time. I post like I speak and sometimes forget that it gets lost in the translatiom. (wrong on purpose in case you don't get it) Just trying to get a laugh. I think about my responses and don't throw out posts to rack my numbers up, (I'll be a jr. for years at my speed) Heres the whole thing, I have never liked trucks. Seeing this one modded out struck me that these neccesary evils could in fact be a real work and something that even I would be proud of. (this was over 5 years ago) I would liken it to the pretty girl in the market that is super hot till she turns around and it AINT what you were hoping for. So if I hate trucks why would I get an L? I've grown, I'm more tollerant and its not a truck. It's a muscle car with a bed. It's grown up while being for the adolesent in me. So there we go, I guess I changed the subject again. Tim.

ok i have to throw out a big HUH??? Hey if you love trucks, guess what ME TOO! Nothing wrong with that, and its great your on the forum too because new members always have things to share and all that good stuff. I just didnt understand why you posted what you did because it was highly out of context (both posts for that matter) and it just seemed really unnecessarily biased. I would run along the same line as If i said hey that guy has a really nice car but he likes sports so thats not as nice of a car.

 

Is this what somebody is trying to turn this thread into ??? I didnt take Granny's post that way, he simply stated his opinion and distaste for rap.

 

He liked the expy, I liked the vehical I saw. He hated the L badges, I hated the music. He posted his dislike, I stated mine to my friend. I guess I'm comin' outta left field, bad part is everyone was playing football. Maybe that other guy dreams of having an L but with the wife and kids he can't , he needs the room. The wife thinks a HD is too big? So he can't have that either. Maybe we should be sorry for him and welcome him with open arms for the pain that he feel's? I think he just wants to belong to a great club like ours. I think I'll lay low for awhile I'm not feelin' so great. Tim.
