Need stereo help fast...been milking this project forever...

and Im dying to finish it tonight. I am using the stock deck and putting in new door speakers and subs. I have an amp that I thought I would be able to turn on using a remote wire from the deck, but one doesnt exist. Can I use the port that is in front your right knee for this and if yes, how do I plug into that? Or where else can I get that signal from? Thanks.

Get a fuse tap and tap into the stereo fuse in the fuse box, I can't remember which leg though.

If you want to rig it, just wrap the wire around the leg then You can pick up a fuse tap at any radio shack.

Since you're already going to be behind the deck to tap into the speaker wires for your amp input, just tap into switched power to the radio. That way, your amp will be on whenever the deck has power, and it's fused from the same place as the radio (equals SAFER!) That's what I did on mine, and I did this for a living until last year.

Ditto. Just tap into the blue wire on the radio harness. This will power your amps when the ignition is in the "on" or "accessory" position.

Ill tap into the behind the deck but there is no blue wire. Would it be the 12 volt ignition wire or 12 volt battery wire? Thanks for replying.
