Lower Pulley

OK, I need to ask a really wierd question.

Can I run a stock lower blower pulley without the cage for a few hundred miles without damaging anything?

Why would you want to do this?? The lower pulley is pretty bulky. You might as well change the pulley while you're in there. Not sure if I would do it.

I am putting an engine in my truck that has no lower pulley. I need something to establish a baseline.

I want to go the least expensive route for a pulley that I will only use for two weeks until I have time to program one of my CNC machines to whip out a few different sizes.

My ideal situation would be to borrow one but that is too much to ask.

There are many here who have stock caged lower pulleys just lying around. I'm sure someone would give it to ya.
