Insurance for L

Ok, I just read somewhere that this guy's L is just classified as single cab f150. How can that be? I thought their insurance was quite a bit higher than just a regular f150.

A lot depends on the insurance company, some will rate it as a regular F150. The main thing is you want to make sure they are covering what you have. Some people try and fool the insurance company by understating what kind of vehicle it is. If you have an accident and the vehicle is totaled, the insurance company might try and pay as if it's a F150. It's always best to be upfront with the insurance company so that there is no misunderstanding.

I just reinsured for my Lightning a few weeks ago. I transferred my insurance from my old 2001 F-150 4x4 to my 2000 L. My insurance only went up $35 for the year and the policy recognized the lightning model.

I was extremely happy since my insurance company had given me a $600 add quote when I was thinking of buying a Trans AM WS6.

My insurance company is Met Life.

Ok, I'll remember that when it comes time for me to buy a lightning.

I would hate to total one and only have them pay for a fraction of the cost. Of course, I sure hope I never total one.
