The setup looks pretty nice...

...and I REALLY like the bolt into flames on the side of their demo L!

You won't see 25 hp from the kit.

Some of the supporting vendors have better kits IMO. All comes down to pricing though....

I was considering the AFE Filter kit untill i saw the sug. retail...which is what you pay if you order from them. I cant find anyone who stock them..so you would kinda have to get it from them. 429 bucks is about 200 bucks too much for that system IMHO.

That's more than a BABolt Pro-Pipe, and doesn't look nearly as good, nor does it increase the size of the MAF. RIP-OFF!

When i looked at the site a few months ago that kit was listed as 429 MSRP.....but like i said....i cant find anyone who stock AFE products except Performance Products and they are high on everything...and also they dont list the Lightning Kit. Just the Powerstroke kit...and it think its 243.99 and all it is is a filter and "fresh-air" box that seals to the hood but uses stock intake tube.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but what is the difference in people paying almost that much for a throttle body? That seems to be acceptable. I do not own this kit either, simply making an observation.

They are actually quite similar. Neither product has been shown to provide significant power gains, except when airflow levels substantially exceed stock levels. Both products get positive reviews and endorsements based on butt dynos and subjective criteria such as "throttle response." Both products look cool and make cool sounds.

But $450 is way too much for a hot air kit.
