Back On the Road Again

Deciding on the BR7EF'S over the Denso's just because I am getting gun shy of porcelain spray (Easterisland ran similar boost and recommended them-as it has turned out so far thanks). Anyway put them in last night. My chip, with reburn from JL(conservative) arrived today, so I went out and bought a gallon of toluene to mix with the crappy 90 octane I can get here. Put the chip and the gas in and went for a spin. I couldn't detect any valve damage from the last denso failure (my fault), so that was good. Got on it half @ss. and was pleasantly surprised with quick boost response and, to my relief, no detectable detonation. Trying to decide wether to wait to really get on it unitl I can get to Anchorage and have it dyno'd and the 02 checked. It was nice, though, just go for a drive in it even though I was chicken to really nail it.

That's why he added the Toluene.

Pulled the 2 1/2 Off

Running that much boost (18+) I decided was pretty much ludicrous without the proper gas. Put back on the 3 1/2 upper which will still give me 15-16#'s. Question is: will the BR7EF's be ok with that level of boost? Don't feel like changing the d@mn plugs again.

I've been spraying a 75 shot with 18psi, 93 octane and the ngk BR&EF's...no problems so far. Don't be a chicken.

Easterisland

Well when you told me with the 2# lower and 2 1/2 upper you were getting 22#'s, I thought, oh gee might need some GOOD gas and a great tune for that. I'll chicken out and go for the 16-18# tune . By the way, who does your tune? You can emial me at: jambo@gci.net if you would rather go that route.
